Rome

The Wounds of Rome is a project that investigates 10 historical traumas that the city has experienced, from Julius Caesar to the death of Aldo Moro, exploring events that mark the Roman collective unconscious. Daniel Libeskind states that trauma cannot be cured, but faced with awareness. Spazio Taverna has invited ten contemporary artists to interpret each trauma with a work on paper, each linked to a specific place and date. The works are a symbolic reflection on the healing power of art, which helps to mend the wounds of the past.

Milan

Le Wounds of Milan investigates the city's hidden traumas, from historical episodes such as the execution of Amatore Sciesa to the Piazza Fontana and Linate massacres. These events, often removed but still pulsating in the collective unconscious, are reinterpreted by ten artists, each charged with symbolically reflecting on an event that marked Milan. The project transforms pain into awareness, without recalling suffering, but giving new form to these scars through art.

THE WOUNDS
