The Wounds of Rome is a project that explores ten historical traumas experienced by the city, from Julius Caesar to the death of Aldo Moro, exploring events that mark the Roman collective unconscious. Daniel Libeskind asserts that trauma cannot be healed, but must be addressed with awareness. Spazio Taverna invited ten contemporary artists to interpret each trauma with a work on paper, each linked to a specific place and date. The works are a symbolic reflection on the healing power of art, which helps heal the wounds of the past.
