Spazio Taverna presents WET FRUIT, an immersive, site-specific work by TOILETPAPER (Maurizio Cattelan & Pierpaolo Ferrari) that questions the grandeur of the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca, projecting it into the present. The work reinterprets and recontextualizes some of the works in the permanent collection, expanding the contemporary definition of the artist and his or her relationship with history. The Landscapes Room is transformed into a stormy marine environment, with paintings and sculptures emerging from the waves. At the center, two seats welcome visitors next to Gian Lorenzo Bernini's "Lion Drinking."
